What is an ISBN?

The ISBN stands for International Standard Book Number which is a 10- digit number that identifies a specific book by its title and edition.

The ISBN is positioned on top of the bar code on the back side, or right inside the copyright page. The ISBN should also be contained in your class syllabus

An ISBN search is the fastest and the most recommended way to search for textbooks you may want to buy or sell.

What is the difference between a new and used textbook?

New textbooks must be dirt free, and pleasantly clean without crooked corners or folded pages. It should not contain unnecessary writings as well. It should come with a CD or other reading supplements such as a CD. The book should not contain any publisher remarks stating "exam copy" or "complimentary copy". Good packaging in a sturdy box is also necessary to ensure that the textbooks will be in proper condition. This also prevents any damages to the textbooks during shipping..

The price for Student ISBN for Instructor Editions or complimentary copy textbooks will be cheaper based on the book's value.

Used textbooks, on the other hand, should have a complete number of pages with no tear or stains. It should also have a front and back cover and should be firmly attached to its spine. A cheaper price quote will be given to books with has missing supplement such as CDs and access code, a lot of highlighting, irremovable stains, and obvious odor. We do not return books sent to us in conditions otherwise stated.

How do I ship my books and who pays for the shipping cost?

Textbooks should be placed in a sturdy box upon shipping. Empty spaces should be filled with the appropriate packing papers or bubble wrap. Newspapers are strongly discouraged as it may rub off the books and further cause damage. Good packaging is necessary to ensure the protection of the textbooks condition that you will sell to us. We only pay for textbooks which arrived at our facility in your stated condition. Otherwise, the textbooks will not be returned to you and unpaid.

Seal the textbook box properly and include the free media mail shipping label that we provided you. Each box should only have a limited weight of 70lbs and less. Send it via Post office near you. Free shipping is provided for your books through our media mail label.

Insurance for your packages will not be shouldered by us and we only pay for shipping expenses of the textbooks.

Media mail packages sent to our facility are the only ones that qualifies for reimbursement. Use of boxes other than the media mail will therefore cost you additional expense on your part since this will be shouldered by you.

Packages sent via priority mail boxes, bags or mailing envelopes may incur you additional shipping costs. These charges will then be reflected on your payments. This is also applicable for UPS shipments to our facility. Only USPS media mail rate will be refunded.

Instructor Editions and Complementary Review Copies

These type of textbooks may be sold even if "Free Copy" , "Complementary Copy" ," Instructor Edition" or " Instructor's copy" was stated on them.

Use the exact Instructor edition ISBN or free copy ISBN on the backside of the book or the title page. A cheaper price quote will be given for student edition ISBN is used for Instructor editions. This includes Annotated Instructor editions as well as complementary review copies or free copy editions
